On-Campus Summer Parking Permit Sales & Voiding Citations

Spring parking permits expired on Friday, May 8th. Currently, summer parking permits cannot be purchased online; however, these permits may be purchased over the phone. Students needing to purchase a summer parking permit (R19) should call the parking office at 257-5757 to request and pay for their permit. The permits cost $9 a week and can be purchased for any number of weeks. Students can then pick up their parking permit by going to the drive-thru or ticketing window at the Press Avenue parking garage (PS#6) during regular business hours (7:30 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.). Parking permits can be mailed to students, but this method is not recommended due to the time it takes to mail the permit. Please note that even when lots are not controlled for permits, they are still monitored for other parking violations to include, but not limited to, parking in fire lanes, parking on yellow lines, and unauthorized parking in ADA (Americans with Disabilities Act) accessible areas. Also, students who have received citations for parking in their own residence lots starting on Monday, May 11th can request the citation be voided by calling the parking office at the number listed above, or by directly emailing the Associate Director for Transportation Services, Mike Scales, at michael.scales@uky.edu. Keep in mind that, like many areas on campus, the parking office is short on staff. So, if you do not receive a response within 24 hours, do contact them again
