The Society of Postdoctoral Scholars, in partnership with the Office of Technology Commercialization (OTC), is hosting the very first 2020 SOPS Research Pitch Competition! Please see below the invitation from Dr. Cassis, Vice President for Research.
This competition is an exciting opportunity to showcase your research in a 1-minute elevator pitch format and compete for cash prizes (generously provided by the International Center and the Office of the Vice President for Research)!
Leading up to the competition, OTC will host a webinar on pitching (July 29th – open to all postdocs) and a preparation workshop (July 31st - for the 20 finalists selected based on quality of abstract and impact of problem to be solved).

Important dates
July 27th, 2020: Application closes (5 pm EST)
July 28th, 2020: Finalists will be selected and announced
July 29th, 2020: Pitch-Skill Development Seminar by Office of Technology Commercialization (mandatory for finalists, open to all postdocs!)
July 31st, 2020: Preparation workshop for finalists
August 10th, 2020: Deadline for finalists to submit slides (5 pm EST)
August 12th, 2020: Pitch competition
