Life After Grad School: April 1-5

Life after Grad School is a week of events catered to graduate students who are preparing for and/or thinking about life beyond graduation. Both academic and non-academic routes are discussed through a series of talks, panels, and a professional development workshop. Dr. Lori Conlan from the NIH is set to kick off the week through an engaging keynote address which encourages students to reflect on their goals and plan for their future. A panel on "Non-Academic Jobs with a PhD" will speak to the variety of possibilities after graduate school. Two additional panels, "Navigating the Academic Job Market" and "Is a Postdoc Right For Me?", will also take place for students interested in exploring academic career paths. The week will conclude with a professional development workshop in which participants can break out into sessions focused on interview etiquette, turning your CV into a resume, mock interviews (speed dating style), and building/managing a LinkedIn profile.
