The President also has reached out to Kentucky’s congressional delegation on the matter. Dr. Capilouto is traveling to Washington the first week of December and will meet with members of the delegation; this issue is on the list of discussion items.
At this link is a letter, provided by Eric King, the University’s legislative liaison in Washington, that reflects the University of Kentucky’s position on the proposed tax plan, which would enact taxation on graduate student tuition scholarships. The letter is written on behalf of several higher education associations, including the Council of Graduate Schools.
